Hi All,

Well let me tell ya February in Texas is a Crapshoot for weather just like it is here or Kansas or Oklahoma or anywhere else! We did have a nice trip without coats for most of the time but coming back through Kansas, got into about 3 inches of snow and woke up the last day...in Great Bend Kansas to thick soupy fog! YUK.   I was ready to turn around and go back.....

We had a productive trip in the search for our new digs.... Got our minds changed in a few areas. I have searched and researched for over a year and it just goes to show I'm never to old to learn new tricks! The dogs are really adapting well to traveling and they like to ride....doesn't matter if we go 5 blocks or 500 miles. I am however, really motel'd out. I had a couple of creapy crawly experiences and I'd really rather not have them experiences again anytime soon. After being in the business for a long time, I can't say anything about today's management except ...it's poor and lacks any care for the customer. We did have some really nice rooms too however...and I really appreciate that. We Traveled from Oxford to Oklahoma City, from OKC to Alvarado TX. Fort Worth - drove clear around the NASCAR Speedway  TEXAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY.  but didn't go inside. Headed north...stopped for some wonderful Texas BBQ in a small town for lunch. Stopped for a night in Lawton OK and then in Great Bend Texas where it was snowin! Drove through the town of Hoisington...and looked where the damage of a killer tornado had ravaged their town a few years back. Then on back to Oxford. It was good...
